Each year the Society offers several discussion and handling sessions both of items from members’ collections and of important masterpieces from the major London museums. They are intended for connoisseurs and novices alike, so there is ample opportunity to learn about Chinese and Asian art in the company of experts in their field.
There will be a discussion and handling session on Islamic ceramics and Chinese ceramics with Islamic associations at the Society of Antiquaries on Wednesday 17th February starting at 10:00 a.m. This will be chaired by Dr. Melanie Gibson, Head of the Faculty of Art History, New College of the Humanities, London. Due to space restrictions in the Council Room at the Antiquaries, we have had to limit sessions to 20 members only and booking is required (for members only) which is already full. If you wish to be put on the waiting list, please contact our Administrator on firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone +44 (0) 1223 881328.
